Luis has been working on my cars for 10 years. Just after Luis moved to this new shop, my clutch went out on my Nissan 350Z. After getting a very expensive quote from the Nissan dealership in SF, I decided to stick with someone I know and trust, even if it meant a tow down the Peninsula. For me, it’s all about trust Luis completed the work on my clutch and saved me more than $1,500 by only replacing what was needed, charging a fair hourly rate, and getting the work completed quickly. What a relief! I don’t mind driving an hour from my home to have the right work done the right way. I’m glad to have a repair person I can count on.

Took my denali in for service. For a oil change and a uber inspection Luis did a awesome job he recommend I do a transmission flush and he found my gasket was leaking and he asked to me to replace it.. He does more than ur sears or little garage does. He checks your lights ur tires n brakes and tops off ur fluids. He rocks and does more then any place I been. He has done my sons rotors n brakes oil change. Done my wife’s car as well. So come see Luis he is the man he rocks thank you. You better tell somebody

Came here for a flat tire repair and Luis was just great! It was a rainy night and of course with all the rain, I get a nail in my tire! I frantically call several nearby auto repair shops and luckily, Luis returns my call within minutes. He took my car at 6pm, fixed my tire and topped off all of my tires with the appropriate amount of air and I was on my way home within 15 minutes! Very friendly and professional indeed. I hope I never have to visit Luis again but if I do, I will definitely return!

Luis is great, I have brought my subaru’s in for its recommended maintenance and got charged very fair prices compared to other shops. He knows what he is doing and suggests other repairs only if needed or requested! Luis goes above and beyond if I ever need to bring my car for service or repairs. Always my go to mechanic!

Life saver! We were traveling to Big Sur a few weeks ago for my girlfriend’s birthday / Valentine’s day and Luis rescued our trip. It was a Sunday morning at 9am, President’s day weekend, and Valentine’s day weekend all in one and Luis was the only shop to answer a call. He answered the call from his home, informed us he was not working today but would come in to assist us. I gave him my diagnosis, the coil pack on 1 cylinder had gone bad, he then told us he would find the part by 10 am and call us back. At 10 sharp we received his call with confirmation he had picked up the part and to meet us at his shop. Luis had us back on the road by 11:45! So polite, professional, and compassionate. We are now considering driving from SF for future services because it’s hard to find a great mechanic like this these days. Thanks Soooooo Much Luis!

My drive-belt needed to be changed so I called Lou’s Auto Repair for the first time today and got help immediately. Great service and great price and Luis didn’t want to sell me anything I didn’t need. I will definitely come back here again when my car needs to be fixed.

I cannot thank Lou enough, today I had just one of those days.. I am in the process of moving (which is stressful enough), had to go to Kaiser to get blood testing done which took 3 hours and than realized I had air coming out of my tire.. When I went to Toyota Burlingame they did nothing to help me and I actually left crying (flat tires, stress, moving and kaiser appointments are not a good mixture). I ended up calling Lou’s Auto Shop and got Louis on his cell phone, he had already left for the day (it was 6PM at this point) but understood what kind of day I was having (plus I was crying on the phone) and told me he would come back and to meet him there.. He patched up my tire so I can make it to work tomorrow and will be putting a brand new tire on my car this weekend. I cannot thank him enough, what an amazing auto shop and amazing customer service.Thank you so much for making a horrible day a little bit brighter!

This place is great! You’re dealing directly with the man running the place. Went to get some work done with my car and not only they did a good job but he made sure to check the general health of the car as well. No extra charges and was honest all throughout the process. Will definitely make sure to avail of his services again. You can call to make an appointment. His shop can tend to get busy but I guess that’s a good thing!

I was visiting San Francisco when my car stalled over the weekend. I took it to a nearby mechanic, who misdiagnosed the problem. I called Lou first thing Monday morning and had my car in the shop 20 minutes later. After running a diagnostic on my car, he found a leak (the other mechanic said it checked for leak and found none) which ended up being the reason for the stalling. He had my car ready the next day. Lou was upfront about the costs and didn’t try to push anything extra. He knew I was trying to get home and even offered a cheap and temporary solution to get my car to my mechanic. In the end I agreed to have my car fixed here and so far, it’s running well.

I’ve had a stalling issue with my car (2008 Honda Fit) for the last 6 years. I’ve taken it to multiple shops, including the dealership, who all told me it needed new spark plugs. After replacing them 3 times at the tune of $400+ each time, I had lost faith in mechanics. Finally brought my car to Lou and he fixed the problem (not spark plugs). I haven’t had a single stall issue since he fixed it. He’s a miracle worker!!! I’ll be bringing my car to him from now on for anything!

Amazing experience here. Lou was very professional and timely. He was able to receive pictures of my car via text so he could determine what supplies he needed, instead of me having to take the car in for him to look at. He took my car the same day I called to make an appointment, and had my new tires ready next day. He also noticed my brakes were in bad shape, and communicated with me all my options before doing any additional work. I dropped the car off on Wednesday, and picked it up Friday morning with all repairs made. And my brakes no longer squeak! Yay! Convenient location, great customer service. I’ll definitely be returning for any future car needs.
